Supporting Early Therapy

Since 1988 Friends of Brain Injured Children has helped families to access intensive therapy programs for their children with brain injury.

We now know early identification and intervention are critical to how well children with brain injury develop.

We also know that caring for a child with brain injury is a daunting task for a family.

Although damage to the brain cannot be repaired, early intensive treatment can create new pathways to help teach speech and movement. As with adult stroke victims, the earlier treatment is started, the better the result.

We offer information, and financial support for treatments. We encourage early, intensive therapy for children, when it is most effective.
